London City Engagement // Mark + Nicole
Engagement shoots are an excellent way to get to know a couple before their wedding day, have some fun, and get some great photos that can be shared on the wedding day. London is the perfect city for engagement shoots. From the iconic landmarks to the contrast between old and new architecture floating in its hazy grey weather, or sunshine if you are lucky.
Best Time to Shoot
Early morning or late afternoon are the best times to start a London engagement shoot. This city is one of the most visited places in the world so the streets can get very crowded, especially if it’s a sunny day! It’s also the best time to get the best light of the day.
Choose a Location
We started with an early sunrise walk from the Westminster Bridge followed by stroll along the Southbank. Passing iconic sights like the house of parliament, London Eye, the Tate Modern, Millennium Bridge and ending up by St. Pauls Cathedral. This is the engagement shoot route that we would suggest to anyone visiting London and wanting to incorporate as many of the iconic London sights as possible.
What to wear
This is an opportunity to get your fancy gear on! It’s a totally a personal preference, but our style of photography lends itself best to lighter, airier tones, like white, beige, taupe. We find that neutral outfits are so romantic and timeless, and help to keep the focus on you!
