London Wedding at the Old Marylebone Town Hall

May 9, 2022

Are you planning a London wedding? Let me take you back to Lauren and Eddie’s Christmas London wedding.

The day started with arriving at the Marylebone Hotel where we met Lauren and Eddie as their were getting ready for their big day ahead. They both had a small team bride and team groom with them. It was a moody December day outside but everywhere you look there was Christmas lights and cheer.

The ceremony took place at the iconic Old Marylebone Town Hall. It’s one of the oldest and most established London registry offices. The building is absolutely stunning and creates a beautiful backdrop for the wedding photos.

It rained on Lauren and Eddie’s wedding, but it didn’t stop us from taking photos in the dazzling Christmas Lights of London. We went to the Bond Street and Regent Street where we created some spectacular wedding portraits.

For the party Lauren and Eddie went back to the Marylebone Hotel, where they had speeches, bubbles, cake cutting and live band. We finished the evening with a sparkle send off in the middle of central London.

We absolutely loved capturing this wedding day, all the details, emotion, love and those Christmas Lights in the rain. Something you will keep in your heart for a long time.

Tips for Christmas/ Winter Wedding

Planning your Winter wedding photography is a little different from wedding photography at other times of the year. The most obvious difference is to do with the light – and it’s not just that there’s less of it for a shorter amount of time. We recommend to have your ceremony a little bit earlier – around 1pm. This will give you the time for some family portraits post ceremony.

The quality of the light will also play a big part in how your wedding photos turn out. Whether you’re planning a festive-themed celebration, or a Winter Wonderland style wedding, one of the main reasons you might be considering this time of the year is for the seasonal atmosphere.
